Using Thread Vault

These terms apply when you browse Thread Vault, create an account, save designs, or download design files. By using the service, you agree to follow these terms and any additional license shown with an individual design.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.

Copyright and design-file license

Designs, digitized embroidery files, artwork, previews, text, and Thread Vault branding are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Ownership remains with Thread Vault and/or the respective designers or rights holders; downloading a file does not transfer ownership to you.

Unless a design listing states different terms, a download grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use that design to create finished embroidered items for personal projects or for sale as physical products or services.

• Do not sell, share, give away, publish, or upload the digital embroidery file itself.
• Do not include the source file in a product bundle, course, or other distribution, even if you have modified the file.
• Do not claim authorship of a design or remove rights notices supplied with it.

Free and Premium access

Design listings identify whether a design is Free or Premium. Premium access depends on the premium status associated with your account and may be limited to the plan or access period shown when it is offered. Keep a copy of the terms and pricing presented when you sign up or purchase.

Do not share an account or use another person’s credentials to bypass access restrictions. We may correct listing details or restrict access when required to protect users, designers, or the service.

Acceptable use

Use the site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with the website or its APIs, automate excessive requests, bypass download or account controls, or use Thread Vault content in a way that violates another person’s rights.

Downloads and compatibility

Available formats, sizes, stitch counts, and compatibility details are shown with each design where provided. Check those details against your machine and software before downloading. Results can vary by machine, material, thread, and settings.

We work to keep the catalog available and accurate, but files, listings, and features may be corrected, updated, moved, or temporarily unavailable.

Disclaimers and liability

Thread Vault is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every design will work with every machine or production setup.

To the extent permitted by law, Thread Vault is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or a design file. These terms do not limit rights or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above shows when this version was last updated. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to future use; any rights that require separate notice or consent will be handled as required by law.
